Love
Love, my readers and brothers, is, in the world and in life, the most tragic thing there is. Love is the child of illusion and the parent of disillusion. Love is consolation in desolation, it is the only remedy against death, since it is death's sister.--Miguel de Unamuno

I am going to play Capt. Pessimism for a paragraph or two...
How is love THE ONLY remedy against death? What about passion? Are they the same thing?
I think we can love people, but not feel passion for them- and have passion for activities/passtimes, and not LOVE them.... but passions can be remedies against death too...
An example might be a passion for a sport that keeps our will to live at a high level- whereas I can only associate love with objects and beings.
